Ingres is a type of paper named after the Neoclassical French painter Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres. The paper has unique texture is known as a chain and laid line surface. Mi-Teintes has a different texture - slightly grainy on one side with a rougher honeycomb structure on the other. Both papers are great for pastel, charcoal and other mediums as the textured surface allows the materials to adhere to the paper. These papers are also used by bookbinders for endpapers.
