Making A Purchase
To make a purchase simply browse our online Store, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on "Order" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order. Occasionally we will require you, the customer to enter a promotional code in the 'Coupon' section on the payment page where applicable e.g for online sales promotions. There are occasionally some products which will be less expensive online than they may be in store. These are web only deals and will be treated as such. These prices may not be available in store.
Minimum Spend
We do not have a minimum spend requirement online. For telephone or in store purchases we have a minimum spend of £5 for credit card transactions excluding P&P charges.
Post & Packing
Our postal rates are calculated automatically based on volumetric size and weight. This means that some packages will be posted via Royal Mail and others via DPD or FedEx. If there is an issue we will contact you to arrange an appropriate shipping method. We make an appropriate charge for packaging, calculated through volumetric size. Our minimum P&P for the UK is £3.00. Our delivery partners are DPD, FedEx and Royal Mail. Royal Mail can take up to 1 week to deliver, DPD & FedEx are on a next working day service with full tracking. Courier Post will be sent the same day provided orders are received by 2.30pm. We regret that parcels lost by Royal Mail cannot be replaced. Our Same Day (Lewis Day) service within London (M25 area) is for orders placed before 4.30pm.
Shipping Abroad
Our online store is set up for most European countries. VAT free purchases are available for European customers who can provide us with a company VAT number (exc. UK). We ship to Canada, USA, Australia & New Zealand using FedEx as our delivery partner. Deliveries to North America are on a next working day basis and should be with you before 10.30am and deliveries to Australia and New Zealand are on a 4 day service, however both services are dependent on clearing Customs and you are liable to pay any local tax due to the relevant authorities.
Delivery Schedule
We will normally process and despatch your order to you within 2 business days . If there are likely to be any delays in fulfilling your order we will advise you of such.
Back Orders
Our online Store should will display items our entire stock portfolio, however due to the nature of our business, accurate stock holding can not always be guaranteed. Sometimes, where appropriate we will send an alternative item which will be as close as possible to the requested item. If this is not suitable then return the item for an exchange or full refund. If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you with your agreement. Should there a long expected delay, you will be contacted with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
Tax Charges
VAT @ 17.5% is payable on all orders that are to be delivered to countries within the European Union. All shipments destined for countries outside of the EU are not subject to tax (VAT).
Please note, that shipments destined for countries outside of the EU, may be subject to local import duties and taxes for which you, the customer will be liable for.

keep track of the contents of your shopping cart once you have selected an item.

a. Take and fulfill customer orders

c. Only disclose information to third-parties for goods delivery purposes
Online Returns Policy
If you as a private individual wishing to return something that you have bought from us, please either write, e-mail or telephone us the details within 7 working days of receiving them to make arrangements for their return to us by you. You, the customer will be liable for the cost or returning the goods.
Our Returns Policy excludes products sold to businesses. These are business-to-business contracts.
We cannot return items that fall under these conditions
- personalised goods or goods made to a consumer's specification
- goods that cannot, by their nature, be returned

Instore Returns Policy
We do not offer a refund policy on purchases made instore although we will usually offer an exchange excluding all paper purchases and personalised goods or goods made to the customer's specification.
Remittance Terms
Payment for goods can be authorised immediately using a credit card or alternatively a request can be made for a pro-forma invoice.
Please note - all bank charges on drafts will be the responsibility of the buyer.
We accept payment using the following credit cards, Mastercard, Visa, Switch and Visa Delta. If you are shopping from outside the United Kingdom, your order will be debited in pounds Sterling, and your credit card company will convert the transaction into your own currency. Credit card information can be sent by phone, fax, post or via our encrypted form. For security reasons, we do not recommend that you send your credit card details by e-mail. Orders will be charged to credit cards at time of shipment, with back ordered items only being charged when ready for dispatch.
INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY
Shepherds, in partnership with FedEx are now delivering to
USA, CANADA, EUROPE, ISRAEL, SINGAPORE, JAPAN, SOUTH KOREA, AUSTRALIA & NEW ZEALAND
North America
The service will be carried out by FedEx with their premium 'Priority International' service. All packages will be despached on a Next Working Day system, and usually your parcel will be with you by 10.30am local time the following day. You will also have a full tracking facility from London to your address. You should be aware that these delivery times may be subject to the usual clearance times whilst being processed by your Customs sevice.
The delivery charges are inclusive of packaging and are calculated by the weight of the products in KG.
This service is guaranteed by FedEx and is the most secure, reliable and cost effective avaiable at this time.
We are pleased to announce that we are also offering an Airmail Parcel service to our international customers which is less expensive but of course slower than FedEx. Due to the limitations imposed by these services it is only available on small, lightweight parcels.
Australia, New Zealand, Japan & Singapore
FedEx 'Priority International'
This is a 4 to 5 day service excluding any time your package may spend with your local Customs service. As usual you the customer are liable to pay any local taxes. The service is priced similarly to the USA rates above with a very small premium attached of about £2 per packet.
We try to send each order on the same day in order to reduce your waiting time and once picked up by FedEx you will have full tracking from London to your door.

Shepherds Bookbinders are now registered with The British Chambers of Commerce and as such we are able to offer a delivery service to the Middle East and raise Certificates of Origin. Please contact Mr Matthew Philips, our dispatch manager on matt@bookbinding.co.uk for further information. Note - Certificates of Origin are charged at £30 each.
